BCSI operates as a consulting firm providing comprehensive services tailored to the unique needs of businesses operating in or seeking to engage with Indigenous groups across Canada with the objective of providing Indigenous procurement and joint ventures on projects. We facilitate B2B and consumer transactions, offering expertise in Indigenous commercial enterprises, Indigenous HR, hiring and training, negotiations and economic reconciliation.
Meet Diane Archie
Diane is Inuvialuit, and originally from Aklavik, Northwest Territories. Diane is the majority owner and President of Bear Clan Strategy Inc. and lives in Yellowknife and Inuvik. Prior to Bear Clan Strategy, Diane was the Deputy Premier and Minister of Infrastructure and the Power Corporation for the Northwest Territories.
Prior to these cabinet positions, Diane was the Minister of Health, Persons with Disabilities and the Status of Women. Diane has previously held several positions with the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (“IRC”), including five years as the Chief Self-Government Negotiator where she sat on various working groups established to support the transition to self-government including Implementation, Fiscal Arrangements, and Taxation.
Previously, Diane spent eight years as the Executive Director of the Community Development Division at IRC, focusing on health, education and research. During her time with the IRC, Diane was seconded to one of the world’s largest multinational oil and gas companies where she gained valuable industry experience.
Diane holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Athabasca.
Diane has sat on various boards, including the Board of the Inuvik Community Corporation.
Diane leads a team of professionals that have extensive Indigenous engagement and finance experience across Canada on projects in green energy, mining, oil and gas, fisheries, gaming, hospitality, and agriculture.
